Inua Ellams | Come As You Are

A 3-day workshop dedicated to young creatives BiPoC under 35 with a strong interest in Live Literature. The workshop will be held in Rome on 11-12-13 July 2022 and is curated by SPAZIO GRIOT, Ohhfive - Inua Ellams for the launch of the project Whose wor(l)d is this?. During the workshop, Inua Ellams will share writing exercises related to his artistic practice: poetry, dramaturgy and essay.

There are so many rules to writing, so many complications, considerations and traditions that knowing where to start can be difficult. So, what are the easy ways to begin? What are the simplest structures? And how can writers feel confident diving in? Join award winning writer, Inua Ellams, in three days of workshop, where he shares writing exercises gathered from 20 years of writing poetry, theatre and essays. Participants are encouraged to come as they are, with their full selves present in the room, to think, play, create and share.
